$300.00 | | Purchased At: | eBay while in Yuma, AZ | | Strengths: | Lightweight, Y and V brake capable, simple and effective design, asymmetrical frame helps with chainslap. | | Weaknesses: | The paint didn't last very long, the assymetrical frame caused the rear chainstays to warp out of the triangle, which led to the rear wheel constantly out of true. | | Similar Products Used: | N/A, this was my first bike | | Bike Setup: | frame w/ Marzocchi Bomber Z front shock, Shimano XTR shifter/braker levers, Shimano XTR derailleurs, Ritchey seat post, Planet Earth Kevlar saddle, Mavic X517 rims, Panaracer Fire XC Pro (2.1), SRAM 8.0 cassette, Shimano PG-8 quick-link chain. | | Bottom Line: | Rigid frames should be kept on the pavement or on the packed gravel and hard paths! This bike was bought used with the rigid fork and ridden in the city to run around with and was a joy. I quickly became a fan of mountain biking and upgraded to a short throw front shock.
